Greengrocer's store interior from the 1920s, bunches of grapes hanging by the hook. The individual grapes appear to be larger than the insipid ones on offer at my local supermarket.

My dad often rhapsodises about white peaches the size of (large)grapefruit that were once common...have we swapped size and quality with marketable and tough-skinned fruit, sans flavour?
